As In sure you know, it was Macdiarmid’s 120th birthday on Saturday August 12 and to mark the occasion I planned to do and film a performance on the wonderful Memorial Sculpture at dawn and dusk that day. Unfortunately, this proved not possible but I am very keen to pursue this as the sculpture has many qualities lending to performance. I’d also like it to be a riposte to the huge Masonic obelisk above the Memorial.
I’m going to try to speak to Jake Harvey about this before pursuing the performance on another suitable date.

Been there, but it’s badly signposted, and tucked away from Langholm, like an embarassment.
