  1. Hi Bella
thanks for the post. It is a great informative video from Ivan McKee from Business for Scotland from the recent event that we live streamed and videoed.

Economic Facts! If you have not seen it, please watch and share. There are actually people out there who think Scotland is to poor when we are better off than the rUK – that myth is down to the power and bias of the main stream media, including our own BBC Scotland.

We have another 2 events this month that we are live streaming and videoing. Send in your own questions during live stream or email now to [email protected]

The first is on the 22nd where we are running from The Glad Cafe, Shawlands an event that has playwright, poet and author Alan Bissett and MD Michelle Thomson and Ivan McKee from Business for Scotland.

The day after on 23rd we are live streaming and videoing the big event for Labour voters for Scottish Independence from STUC building in Glasgow which has a great panel.

We’d be up for helping run a live event with this content

Absolutely brilliant, clear presentation. Should be compulsory watching for all Scottish voters. I particularly liked the Scottish Daily Express headlines of 1979 – if you vote yes for an assembly – will the coal industry survive, will Linwood survive, will Bathgate survive, will Ravenscraig survive?
    Let’s “stick” with the union!

  3. Andrew Mott says:

Excellent from start to finish. Definitely worth sharing with one and all.

  4. Murray McCallum says:

It’s good to see some facts, figures and sources of information being presented by someone who knows what they are talking about.

People should compare this to some of the ridiculous and unreasonable claims coming out of the better together campaign. I’m thinking about Alistair Darling’s only 2 billion barrels of oil left in the North Sea, or whatever today’s £ figure is that Scots will lose through running their own affairs.

  5. If only this presentation could be taken to every household in Scotland. Clear and concise, in simple language that anyone can understand. How many “I’d like Scotland to be independent, but I don’t think we can afford it” folk would be converted on the spot?

There’s the rub. How can you ensure that every undecided voter gets to see this? You can’t even post a link to it on the newspaper web sites.

    1. bellacaledonia says:

The pro indy alt press now has a huge readership

  7. Terence callachan says:

All of the evidence here compares figures for Scotland against figures for UK but nowhere does it say that the figures for UK exclude Scotlands contribution to those UK figures.Clearly if the UK figures include Scotlands contribution you would have to deduct Scotlands contribution from the UK figures to get a UK ( excluding Scotland ) figure in other words a rest of the U.K. Figure.
