No need to worry. Ofcom and the rest will be eating their words when the SNP are deciding who to go into coalition with. Welcome to the UK folks!

Love these cartoons by Greg Moodie, nice to see Clegg and Rennie portrayed as couple of hangers on, or could it be they are a humpf on Cameron’s back. Answers on a fag packet please………….Always remember that if you want to see more of this stuff ,get the National !

Well, after all,we are talking about an election to determine England’s next government.
The one party Thatcherite political machine in England who are desperate to emulate their role model in the US of A want to have their TV presidential debates to decide who rules in lieu of the Monarch but without the legal constraints imposed by a written constitution.
Naturally, this will exclude leaders of political parties outside England…..especially Scotland.

Brilliant – I have an old leather jacket like that – Aero Leathers from Gala.

I am going to get it out with a big SNP badge and my cool shades – all I need is the Harley-Davidson.

    Nicola Rocks!

I think it’s Farage that always has a pint in his hand not Cameron.
I’d love to see Nicola Sturgeon debate the leaders of the other parties – she’s better than the lot of them. But it’s not about that. The reason the SNP might not be invited is no one outside Scotland can vote for them. It’s a party only for people living in Scotland. There are no candidates standing in England, N. Ireland or Wales. They are a Nationalist party and are perceived as not caring about anyone outside of that remit – they wanted to leave the UK so why should anyone care what they have to say – outside of Scotland that is. Sitting in London I can’t vote for them. My choices will be: Labour, Tories, Greens, Lib Dems, no UKIP, a couple of independents – single issue candidates eg NHS party. I’ll have to vote tactically to get the Tories out so won’t be able to vote with my heart which is Green/Labour.

As a democrat I believe the more choice the better so would be very happy to see everyone and anyone included. I want to hear everyone’s views.
If the SNP were invited it wouldn’t be Nicola debating anyway, she’s not up for election to a Westminster seat, it would probably be Angus Robertson as he’s up for election and is head of SNP in Westminster. It would be fine for me but would the SNP be happy with that?

    1. Geel says:

You make the point totally for an ‘SNP- Alliance’ to field candidates throughout England and Wales.

  9. Darien says:

Simply more blatant anti-Scottish discrimination by our English/British rulers and regulators. We have had 300+ years of it – yet it feels oh so normal we barely even talk about it. And they have the audacity to haver on about us being anti-English, conveniently ignoring the plank in their eye.
