Underground

There’s loads of great stuff coming out of the small press, micro press and zine scene. As we prepare research and interviews about old print projects we also want to do more on the contemporary output.

Low Light Magazine (‘poetry, prose, photography, journalism’) is edited by Jim Gibson, Ben Williams and Sophie Pitchford and looks great. Features like the Photographer Interview (Jim Mortram) and Martin Appleby’s Zine Round-Up plus a swirling mass of great raw poetry make it very worthwhile.

Jamie Sinclair’s long form photography is powerful and there’s an interview with Jenni Fagan plus fiction and quality writing.

One of the best aspects is the whole feel that it is a pointer to the artist and writers own sites and content. A brave generous publication, the sort you come across almost randomly and feels like a gift.
