HOUSE PARTY

For a slightly different vibe Optimo is live from the Jonnie and Keith’s houses tonight via Clyde Built Radio 11-late.

In other news Neu!Reekie! are offering up an enticing tale in straightened times with a great deal. Here’s the deal:

LIMITED INK

“This is a challenging time for everyone involved in the arts, with so many on low wages or where freelance work has been cancelled. For us, as an arts events collective, all of our live events are on pause. But we’re still planning ahead for a time when artists and poets can re-engage with audiences in a post-C19 world.

With this is mind, we would like to commission two new poetry / spoken word pieces of around 12-15 minutes in length. Standalone pieces that can be performed at our Neu! Reekie! x Limited Ink showcases later in the year. Proposals should touch upon the theme: Where Are We Now?. This theme can be interpreted widely and wildly, it is not simply a call for Covidian art!

We’ll pay £250 to each poet to work on each piece, with up to £250 production costs available for the performance on the night. We’re also happy to give support and advice from the Neu! Reekie! collective throughout.

What we want at this stage are ideas! A good proposal rather than a finished work.

The submissions will be anonymised.”
