Saturday Night at The Howff with Josephine Sillars, The Woods and Molly Nillson
howff /haʊf/. A favourite meeting place or haunt, especially a pub.
The Howff is back for 2021 and our first foots are a re-release in response to events in America, a new single from The Woods and the return of Scottish singer- Songwriter Josephine Sillars
Glasgow based Night School Records and DSA have re-released Molly Nillson‘s 2008 track Hey Moon with all proceeds going to Black Lives Matter. This followed pictures of John Mauss at the pro-Trump Washington riots last wee. Mauss had famously covered the track and it was one hos most popular singles. Berlin-based Nillson said “In case anyone was wondering, I’m a lifelong supporter of Antifa. Like most of us, I was appalled by what we saw in DC this week and by the people present there. In response to this, DSA and Night School Records have decided to release a 7” single of my original song Hey Moon (2008), with ALL PROFITS from the sale donated to BLACK LIVES MATTER worldwide.”
