Caitlin Turner is a marine biologist and conservationist, working for the Sustainable Inshore Fisheries Trust (SIFT) as their Policy Officer. She has several years of experience in marine conservation advocacy through a number of voluntary roles, including representing Scotland on the World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council for 2022-2023. She currently volunteers as a Youth Representative on the Sea Scotland Steering Group, as a Trustee for Young Sea Changers Scotland, and as a Sea Champion for the Marine Conservation Society. In 2019 she founded the University of Stirling’s first student-led Marine Conservation Society, and has helped to contribute to the delivery of the first Fisheries Management Plans for crab, lobster and whelk stocks in English waters through her previous role as a Fisheries Project Officer for Seafish.
