Zozan Yasar is a Kurdish journalist based in the UK. She is one of the founders of the Kurdish Women Podcast where she aims to make the transnational connection between women all over the world. Zozan is a storyteller for the Witness Change Project in the UK and across Europe. She has a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Istanbul in Turkey. She has worked with Voice of America In the Middle East and various Kurdish media outlets as a journalist focusing on the Middle East politics, refugees, and women. In addition to that, she has also worked in multiple media projects in the UK and the US. She has written for the Guardian, Vice News, Humanitarian Practice Network. She conducted a project for refugees from NES/Rojava in Iraqi Kurdistan and Central Africa.
