Changing Everything: Paris, Terror and the Climate Talks

“What if global warming isn’t a crisis? What if it’s the best chance we have to make a better world?”

Naomi Klein on how the French terrorist attacks may influence the Paris climate change conference, and what we can do about it.

“I don’t think there’s one thing to do,” said Klein. “It depends where you are and what your spheres of influence are. If you’re a student, consider joining the fossil-fuel divestment movement. Or take part in the [Global Climate] march on 29 November [ahead of the Paris climate change conference, aka COP21].”

Indeed, she added it was “particularly important in the wake of the attacks in Paris that there is strong mobilisation from outside France, because there’s going to be very tight security [in Paris] and that means that any marches may not go ahead – which makes it all the more important that people in other cities around the world come out and march.”

On the ThisChangesEverything.org website it says screenings can be requested of the full film, I'd certainly go to any if someone like Bella, nudge, nudge, wanted to organise one!. Thanks for reminding us of these little glimmers of hope amid dark days!

I know there's a screening in Edinburgh on 24 Nov, meant if there was the chance of organising anymore, spreading it around a bit...

”this is for Syria/Allah Ullakbar” He actually said, '' Hello, I'm from ISIS, this is for Syria, Allah Akbar,'' then his passport accidently fell out of his back pocket, so that French intelligence could easily identify him !!

Strange how the American CIA, French, British MI5 MI6, Israeli Intelligence with their Billion dollar budgets, monitoring everyones emails, phone calls etc etc, knew absolutely nothing about this, just like 9/11 ? Hmm... Mossads motto '' By Deception We Make War.''

People need to read her book on climate change and then pass on to as many people as possible.

The usual strong on emotion short on facts stuff.

"If you're a student consider joining the fossil-fuel divestment movement" - as if that was going to change anything!

Instead if you're a student - or if you're anybody really - I'd suggest you find out what crude oil actually is, the Russians know - which is why they're so good at finding it - the majority of "Westerners" don't. And also why we haven't moved on from it.

And before all the "Tinfoil Hat" stuff starts it's the people who believe it's all just squished up dinosaurs etc that are the morons - not the Russians!

So out of curiosity, what is crude oil really?

        Look up "Abiotic Oil".

Read both the proponents and the debunkers.

Remember if you go to university in Russia then abiotic is accepted as probable.

Also out of curiosity please point out where today there is a large area - say 10 miles x 5 miles by half a mile deep (enough for a smallish future oil reservoir) of largely unrotted organic material just waiting to be covered over by layer of sand or clay say?

What does abiotic hydrocarbon theory have to do with climate change? If we've been fed a pack of lies about organic hydrocarbons then the IPCC also must be liars pushing propaganda-science because reasons etc.; is that it?

You're right - if indeed it is largely oil consumption that is causing climate change then ultimately it may be irrelevent how it is formed, however it just goes to show how easy it is to pull the wool over "westerners" eyes - turned to mush by a worthless popular culture they're easier to fool, perhaps than thinking people in places where life is tad dicier and therefore the people a bit closer to reality.

Therefore if I can't be sure I'm being told the truth about the basics of how oil comes to be then I sure as hell am not convinced I'm being told the truth about global warming by western science.
