Struileag/Shore to Shore Update
We have been commissioning new songs, poetry, text and music over the last few months and this weekend we are holding a work in progress weekend this week when we will rehears and record some of the wonderful new material that has been commissioned for Struileag / Shore to Shore.
The material is contemporary and will be performed entirely in Gaelic. The theme of the project is the Gaelic diaspora and the aim is to highlight the importance of indigenous language to the concept of identity.

I can’t wait to share more information about this with you, it is a very exciting project for which we are still fundraising. We will continue commissioning and recording new Gaelic material. We also hope to include some commissions in other indigenous languages from around the Gaelic diaspora.
We hope to raise more money through a crowd funding campaign that we are about to launch. If you would like to help with the campaign in any way please send us a message!!
There are different ways you can help:
– You can make a short 10 second video wishing us luck with the project on your smart phone and either post it here or send it to us.
– You can offer a service (such as Gaelic skype lessons or advanced conversation sessions by Skype or FB video)
– You can offer other special rewards which we will give away in return for donations to the project
– You can become a fundraiser, let us know if you want to help by sending a message or posting a comment on this post
