To kick us off here’s rare film of Neil Young busking in Glasgow city center, April 1 1976, prior to headlining at the city’s legendary Apollo Theater later that night. Mr Young performed outside Glasgow’s Central Station, on Gordon Street, where he sang “Old Laughing Lady”.
wow, I can not think of anyone going back to 1976 who would not have recognized that voice,
spellbinding, I’m sure I saw Dick Emery in that video though?
I wonder how many miserable sods saw an opportunity to get rid of their old threepenny bits and tanners in his banjo case?
never mind dick emery, what about Auntie (now ‘Lady’) Annabel Goldie at 2min 56! She has aged very well though, I must say.
This is brilliant. Shared it on facebook hopefully as an opportunity for some music buffs to visit Bella Caledonia for the first time.
Sorry to nitpick, but isn’t it Apollo Theatre not Theater?
