St Andrew’s Night at African Caribbean Centre, Glasgow

Screen shot 2013-11-29 at 13.18.38If you’re in Glasgow on Saturday evening Africans for an Independent Scotland have teamed up with Graham Campbell and National Collective to celebrate St Andrew’s Night.  Each of them will be contributing to a cultural feast (see poster above) to celebrate Scotland’s national day. There’s also a 30 minute open mic slot if you fancy having a go yerself.  Its part of the STUC’s Anti-Racism weekend.

As well as a cultural feast there’s also a proper feast!  For only £2.50 a plateful (ha!) you can try African, Caribbean or Scottish scran.  Entry price is a suggested donation of a fiver.  Nae bad.  It’s on at African Caribbean Centre, 66 Osbourne Street, Merchant City, Glasgow

If you cant make this great event in Glasgow – or are stuck in the Scottish capital – there’s always this reasonably decent alternative…

  1. Looks good for all who can get there, and maybe a lesson on independence, and why all should be.
