One of the best events of the year in Edinburgh (Leith) By the way Magi, Cat Boyd and Leslie Riddoch were on tonight.

I agree, David. The Book Fair’s fantastic. I was only pointing out that this particular Bellacaledonia evening features no women. I think Bellacaledonia understands exactly why I posed the question.

I do understand, we’re sorry this has happened, we avoid this at all costs whenever we can and we are committed to 50:50 representation whenever possible.

    2. bellacaledonia says:

Yes apologies for that – very unusual for us – we’re competing with a big gig at the Bongo Cub with Kate Tempest.

Bella’s Kathleen Jamie is talking on the Sunday, see here:

Thanks for responding. I’m glad it’s unusual for you. I know that getting line-ups together can be difficult, but do feel I should point out to organisers when I notice imbalances. Let’s face it, women are 50%+ of the population, it’s important we all try to make sure their voices are heard too. Have a great night!

Will this event be open to under 16s if I want to bring my teenaged kids along?

      Yes
