Barbarism in Dakota
It’s Thanksgiving – and what better way to celebrate than blowing someone’s arm off with a grenade?
21 year-old Sophia Wilansky was one of several hundred peaceful protesters injured during the standoff with police in Dakota on Sunday on a bridge near the site where the pipeline is planned to cross the Missouri river. The likelihood is she will have her arm amputated after a concussion grenade thrown by a police officer tore through the arteries, median nerve, muscle and bone in her left arm.
Water protectors efforts to clear the road and improve access for emergency services was met with a militarised police force including tear gas, LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device), stinger grenades, rubber bullets and indiscriminate us elf water-cannon in temperatures of 26 degrees fahrenheit, causing mass hypothermia.
“I think of Birmingham, I think of Wounded Knee, it felt like low-grade war.” said one Medic treating #DAPL protesters.
National Lawyers Guild legal observers have confirmed that several people were unconscious and bleeding after being shot in the head by rubber bullets.

I alone in noticing the lack of real news on uk news channels? Its really bad when the russian outside broadcaster is covering more news than the whole of the uk media.
Channel 4 news reported it about 6 weeks ago. I have been following Facebook posts by friends involved and it is utterly shocking. Morton Ccounty Sheriff’s department need to investigated. The protesters have been pepper sprayed, shot with rubber bullets, attacked by guard dogs, strip searched, numbers put on their arms and detained in cages for days. Reporting journalists also prosecuted.
Perhaps they have only removed the merde they have been doing in middle east for oil to the american mid east for the frackers.
