I agree that the UK monarch and royal family roles extend far beyond symbolism into a secretive structure designed to bypass Parliament and retain ultimate Crown sovereignty, for example by use of the Royal Prerogative and systematic double standards.
I also agree that the editorial concentration on devolved matters during that televised debate on Westminster elections was highly inappropriate and a disservice to democracy.

I’d like to see a TV interview with one of the Royals in which they get asked to justify the monarchy…
