Monday Howff

howff /haʊf/. A favourite meeting place or haunt, especially a pub.

Welcome to The Howff, Bella’s lounge for the lockdown.

Randolphs Leap [Glasgow-based folk-pop Adam Ross (guitar/vocals), Pete MacDonald (keyboards),Adam Florence (drums), Vicki Cole (bass), Andrew MacLellan (cello) and Heather Fox (violin), Fraser Gibson (trombone) and Ali Hendry (trumpet) ] are our featured artist on the Howff tonight.

Go see their Sustainable corona video here.

Adam Ross writes: “In response to all gigs being cancelled, I decided to self-isolate and record an emergency album at home. I spent 4 days revisiting old song ideas and phone memos, having lots of fun with different sounds, trying not to overthink anything and just make some weird, joyful tunes. Hope you enjoy. I’m not putting this on Spotify at the moment because $0.004 per stream isn’t going to help me right now, so if you like what you hear and want to pay for the album here on Bandcamp that would be amazing.”

Follow them on twitter @ranolphsleap and go to their bandcamp to buy their album here. Check out their website here.

We also have poetry from Iona Lee and others and a brand new playlist of classic jazz for you.
