The UN says the world must rewild on a massive scale to heal nature and the climate.

    Scotland has huge areas which could be rewild. These areas contribute very little to our economy. Most are within private hands though much is also owned by the public sector.

    It is wrong that landowners should receive compensation or financial incentives to rewild.

    Instead if the SG introduced AGFRR it could offer land owners the option of transferring their areas with rewilding potential to the SG in exchange for avoiding AGFRR .

    This will offer Scotland to have a rich rewinding tapestry from the South to the Far North .
