  1. mark leslie edwards says:

quite frightening how so many of the snp top brass sound like salmond clones in the rhythm of their speech, soon as I realised this I stopped listening to the guy who to be fair isn’t even the worst of them, probably unelectable because scotland despite its protestations is a thoroughly racist intolerant & backward place, the more time I spend away from the human race the happier I tend to be

    1. 241219 says:

I suspect they all sound the same because they shared the same media coach.

      1. mark leslie edwards says:

ffs, what even is a media coach, we really are doomed as a species if the blokes can’t even have a swear a fart a tickler & a squint at page 3 afore winding up their pals about last night’s fitba results then gitn oot the brush & gien the wa’s thir necessary winter coat ae slate grey emulsion

        1. 241219 says:

Media coaches prepare people to represent themselves, a brand, or a company to the media. This includes political personas, brands, and parties.

    2. John says:

Mark – I understand how disillusioned you feel but if you are so disaffected and disconnected from the human race as you say I respectfully suggest you need to go and talk to someone about this.

      1. mark leslie edwards says:

lol, I shall talk tae masel, that wey, I’m guaranteed a sensible blether wie sumbdy I agree wie

        1. 241219 says:

Whaur’s the mense in haein a blether anely wi fowk wi wham ye gree?

          1. mark leslie edwards says:

hmm, did we just travel back to the 1930s, pls go read some Hugh McD prior to your next attempt, thanks

          2. 241219 says:

            If you only knew, Mark…

        2. Graeme Purves says:

A sound decision. I hope you stick to it.

  2. Tom Ultuous says:

A very good interview by Humza.

  3. Cathie Lloyd says:

He’s achieved so much in our politics that I think this makes sense for him. But it made me so happy to live in a country which could elect a First Minister like him, outspoken and principled. It must have been unbearable to occupy that office while family members were under attack in Gaza. New horizons – I wish him very well. But our loss.

    1. 241219 says:

We didnae elect him, though, did we? He did a Rishi-Swinney.

      1. Graeme Purves says:

This is a new nummers mannie. The auld yin didnae hae Scots.

        1. 241220 says:

          Ye thinkna?

          1. 241220 says:

            Naither he daed.

          2. Graeme Purves says:

Your records appear to be in disarray. It might be worth asking yourself ‘Who am I today?’, or contacting Confused.com.

          3. 241223 says:

I’m 241223 today, Graeme. Keep up!

      2. Niemand says:

        Indeed.

He was a puppet put in place by the SNP to try and continue the legacy of Sturgeon, which they somehow thought was a good idea. He wasn’t elected by the people and I suspect never would have been. His failed and brief tenure was inevitable due to lack of a mandate, poor performance from him and a fundamentally flawed premise for his candidature (‘continuity’).

I have sympathy with the man for what he has had to deal with, but as a politician? No.

        1. 241220 says:

I agree. Helluva nice man; shite leader.

  4. Paddy Farrington says:

The leadership he showed over Gaza will be to his eternal credit. Best wishes Humza in whatever you choose to do next.

    1. Graeme Purves says:

      Indeed!

Sadly that principled stance was quickly trashed by Angus Robertson and John Swinney.

      1. mark leslie edwards says:

oh, the boabster, why is he no top tory, must be they canna afford his wages

  5. Statan says:

Good luck to Humza – he’ll need it seeing as he has no work experience at all apart from working for the SNP.

    1. mark leslie edwards says:

methinks he shall be doing the same as so many before have done i.e., step out the limelight furra while then aince abdy’s forgotten ye back in wie a swing

  6. Alistair Taylor says:

Best of luck to you Humza!
You are a good person, with integrity and principles.

Which is more than can be said for many politicians.
