Tory MP tells David Lammy he may end up at the Hague over Gaza
That it took a Tory to call out the behaviour of the Foreign Secretary and the conduct of the British Government over Israel is both shameful and revealing.
In an extraordinary moment in the House of Commons, Malthouse said he was ‘beyond words’ at Lammy’s inaction towards Israel. He told the Labour minister this amounted to ‘complicity’ in what Israel was doing in Gaza.
Malthouse then asked Lammy if he could not see that his ‘inaction and cowardice’ meant he may ‘end up at the Hague.’
Malthouse then made an impassioned plea to the Labour backbenchers to get their party leadership to change their stance on Israel.

With Gaza being described as ‘hell on earth’ and 1,000 people estimated to have been killed seeking food – the Conservative MPs statement was a shock, but only because of the polite and passive nature of most of the political debate, even in the face of unspeakable atrocities and violence.
The intervention from the North West Hampshire MP is a break in the omerta and the grotesque inertia and complacency that surrounds Westminster and condemns the Labour government. His personal warning to the Foreign Secretary about the legal consequences of his actions/inactions punched through the smug worldview of the political class. His appeal to the Labour MPs to take charge of their own party and pressure their own government was completely unprecedented and reveals a stark reality, that certain sections of the Conservative Party are more progressive than the Labour leadership. Welcome to Britain, 2025.
This interview with Channel 4’s Jackie Long is revealing. Lammy basically lays out that his job is ‘to make sure that Britain is not complicit in any acts that could be a breach of international humanitarian law’. He then gets angry and defensive when questioned, watch:

But Lammy’s extraordinary hubris isn’t matched by the facts. A year ago a British Foreign Office official who worked on counter terrorism resigned in protest at arms sales to Israel, saying the UK government “may be complicit in war crimes”.
And only last week Rory Stewart laid out that the British government is providing military training for the IDF:

The Foreign Secretary acts as if his job is to passively check that Britain is not breaking the law, yet as Malthouse’s intervention shows, Labour’s position is now so far from reality, so distant from the vast majority of people’s moral compass that even Tories understand it to be legally and morally reprensible.
His complacency is completely offensive and has been from the start. Combined with his slow, lazy delivery as if he’s trying to send people to sleep.
In fairness to Lamy, he is just a placeman & only owes his position because he is a zionist as is the entirety of what passes for the Uk gov. Starmer is a zionist, he is married to a zionist, his chief of staff is a zionist and a penumbra of zionist organisations surround Westminster & tell the Uk gov what to think & do with respect to the state of israel.
They are (the orgs) for the most part quite happy with the on-going genocide. Naturally, anybody in the LINO UK gov that comes out against all this will be cast into the outer darkness and accused of being anti-semitic. In a normal society, UK citizens would take back control, ship the zionists to Den Haag for trial (all of them) and place into power a government that governed in the interests of Uk citizens, not in the interests of a foreign state, i.e the Israeli state – which is the case right now.
When will the British Government face the facts. Genocide, by the most cruel and horrible means is being conducted in Gaza. From an open prison, to a concentration camp and now a slaughterhouse, on the level of Bergen-Belsen and other camps. The IDF are acting in the manner of a terrorist organisation and thus Israel must now be perceived as a terrorist state. Why then are the British Government continuing to support the ongoing war crimes? The proscribing of organisations in order to prevent legitimate peaceful protest is truly shameful. Britain is supporting a war crime.

Quite easy to determine that Hamas is a terrorist organisation, a reactionary terrorist organisation given birth by the treatment dished out to Palestinians over the past 77 years by Israel. By no stretch of the imagination are Hamas or any other group of Palestinians capable of perpetrating genocide upon Israel, nor will they ever have the capability.
Equally it is easy to establish that Israel through its government and armed forces are terrorising with no limits to their barbaric cruelty and calculated evil, upon the entirety of the Palestinian people, effectively a toxic mix of ethnic cleansing and genocide.
The end goal of Israel appears to be that they will make life impossible for the Palestinians to live in Palestine. Mass indiscriminate killing and total destruction of all infrastructure and vital services are the chosen strategy for Israel to achieve its goal of annexing Gaza and The West Bank. The Golan Heights and parts of Lebanon, will follow next unless Israel is stopped.
The cycle of violence will never be broken!
Without those in charge in Israel appearing before a court in The Hague and a reckoning within Israel as to the crimes committed in the name of Israel, it is impossible to establish why would any civilised country wish to be an ally, a friend or even trade with Israel?
Shamefully the answer is a uk government, labour or tory, regardless of right or wrong, will side with Israel, because the US demands them to!
Scotland may not be able to change the course of Israel’s action, but through independence we need not be complicit in the uk’s shameful stance that effectively gives Israel a green light!
Lammy’s hilarious/appalling assessment that there would be a clear risk of international humanitarian laws applying in occupied Palestine says the quiet bit out loud. We are the Bad Guys. The British Empire has always been the Bad Guys. And have always supported and employed Bad Guys in furtherance of our Bad Aims (which used to include world domination by conquest and the imposition of our British racial hierarchy until it became a caste system for the next millennium or whatever the theo-royal Imperiarch commanded). But Lammy is just concerned about us Looking Bad (to unspecified people, for unspecified reasons).
I guess British soft power doesn’t cut it any more, and the vast audiences for Indian, Chinese and African-nation movies will be joined by North American, Middle-Eastern and Caribbean ones, consuming all that awkward redcoat-featuring historical drama. Oh gosh, the British are the World Nazis of near-global culture, however did that happen? How could painting world maps pink with the bloodstains of conquered, colonised, militarily conscripted and enslaved people ever have given birth to this idea of a British bogeyman? Well, Lammy should know that better than most people.
Nick Maynard – a British surgeon currently voluntarily working in hospital in Gaza was interviewed on Channel 4 News reported last Saturday. He described the impact that the enforced starvation is having on the newborn and young children he encounters as patients. He also had an article in Guardian today with more details today.
Two things were absolutely chilling from his reports:
1)The restrictions on formula baby milk imposed by Israeli authorities. Several US doctors tried to bring in some formula baby milk to help with this starvation and the milk was confiscated by Israeli troops.
2)Patients were being admitted who had been shot while queuing for food by soldiers. The shots were located clustered on different parts of the victims bodies on different days. In surgeons own words it appeared premeditated and as if soldiers were playing a game on victims.
The actions being perpetrated on civilians in Gaza is inhumane and out of all proportion to the inhumanity perpetrated by Hamas on innocent Israeli’s on October 7th.
The inaction and silence of Lammy (always shocked)and Starmer (always appalled) in trying to stop an ally of UK inflicting ethic cleansing, starvation and genocide on women and children is a stain that will live with them for a long time.
