Very interesting observation about Andrew Marr condemning John McDonnell ‘s point about the links between Tony Blair, Mandelson, Epstein, Palantir etc being conspiracy theories. It talks to people in media and politics living in a world that they believe they understand better and any evidence or opinion that challenges that assumption must be contemptuously dismissed.
When facts show that their narrative was actually wrong they give a half hearted broadcast about how they have been misled or didn’t know all the facts. They usually didn’t know all the facts because they chose to ignore the facts. This is a personal choice by Marr etc to maintain their pre-eminent position in media and society.
The career of journalists like Peter Oborne who was a well respected journalist working in mainstream media but who recognised the corruption.within the media. He then took the decision to give up his senior position within the mainstream media to free himself to actually operate as a professional journalist that report on the corruption in media and politics rather than a paid hack that enables and protects it.
