Gaza – Before & After

As part of the exhibition, Glasgow artist and activist Euan Sutherland has created a number of miniature dioramas showing scenes from Gaza – a continuation of his work landscapes of LOSS, these are the black BOX series.
Gaza – Before & After
Tuesday 11th – Friday 14th March | 10am – 5pm
Saturday 15th March | 10am – 3pm
Out of the Blue
In direct response to the many months of horror in Gaza, Euan’s work looks back at the legacy of (and ongoing) brutality inflicted on the Palestinian people throughout the years. Where imposed removal, segregation and imprisonment continue alongside destruction of infrastructure, land theft and many other human rights violations. These black boxes are recorders of some of these events – both specific and generic – showing us uncomfortable truths the mainstream media ignores and western governments refuse to challenge. Pulling back the curtain of propaganda.”
Also as part of the exhibition, “the Network of Photographers for Palestine will present 24 images entitled ‘Gaza – Before and After’. These show the absolute devastation brought about by the Netanyahu government in its attempts at genocide of the Palestinian people.
All the photos were taken by Palestinian photographers on the ground in Gaza.
There will be a free evening event on Friday 14th March (6.30pm – 8.00pm). All welcome.
Every word and action, no matter how small, is a necessary and important gesture against racism and against the ethnic cleasing of Palestianians. Both the USA and UK have been complicit in a genocidal war against the Palestinian people. Stand up for Palestine, for humanity and the humane treatment of all living things on this fragile planet.
