Charles Lang is a writer from Castlemilk in Glasgow who is currently a PhD candidate at the Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen’s University Belfast writing a thesis on the work of Tom Leonard.
Charles recently published his first book of poems Aye ok with Speculative Books. His work has appeared in Gutter, Poetry Ireland Review, The Honest Ulsterman, The Rialto, and elsewhere. In 2019, he was awarded the University of Edinburgh’s Sloan Prize for writing in dialect and was shortlisted for the Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition by Jackie Kay.
