Clickbait

fiona-soe-paing-kevin-williamson-marilyn-carinoIn the second of our new podcast series, Kevin Williamson talks to Marilyn Carino and Fiona Soe Paing about their new project ‘Clickbait’ – variously described as ‘nerdy rock for grown-ups’, torchy-electro-soul or ‘off-world electronica’. After previously sharing stages with Black Star and David Byrne, long-time activist and Buddhist Marilyn Carino releases her second solo album ‘Leaves, Sadness, Science’ which features R.E.M bassist Mike Mills.

Here she talks about her new collaboration with Fiona Soe Paing. [You can listen to more of Fiona’s back catalogue here. ] Marilyn has relocated from New York to Leith while Scottish – Burmese Soe Paing has recently returned to rural Aberdeenshire. Watch her ‘Alien Lullabies’ video with Zennor Alexander here.

Is there any chance of making this podcast available through another app such as Pocket Casts or Downcast please. The SoundCloud app isn’t an app I like to use… sorry.

    1. Hi Jim, yes we’re going to try and make this available on a number of platforms. Why do you not like SoundCloud?

      1. jim says:

Hello, sorry for the delay in replying… had a wee visit to the hospital.
The main reason for not liking SoundCloud is the fact that podcasts can’t be downloaded to listen too but streamed only (unless I pay a fee to allow me) so it eats up mobile data. Yes, I could listen at home on WiFi or pay the fee but I already own two paid for apps and one free app podcast show listening.
That’s good to know you are looking at other platforms though

PS. Many will be missing out on this podcast due to the fact that it’s not available elsewhere
