Can’t believe they have only just woken up to the fact that the Tories have been shafting us. Been going on since 1979. If 35% don’t vote, what do they expect? I take it they are not literally advocating ‘war’. Therefore the only civil remedy is through the ballot box.
And you think that just because the ballot box count is in your favour, that westminster is just going to roll over and give us what we want?
A rather naive bit of thinking, given their past history with other countries that have tried to shucks them off.
Yes, I believe in democracy. If the 35% of the non voting precariat in NE England bothered to vote, on an organised basis, we would not have a Tory government.
People get the quality of democracy they deserve. I know that’s hard to swallow.
