New Bella

Welcome to our sparkling new website – which brings you improved navigation, clearer classification and indexing and some snazzy new features. Our social media is better integrated and our vast back-catalogue of content is easier to rummage through. We have contributor pages for each of our writers which point outwards to their own content and allows you to sift through their archived articles.

Big thanks to Carine, Jonathan and Peter at Starbit for taking on the herculean task of shifting over a decade (+) of content and helping make sense of our arcane categorisation ‘system’.

There’s bound to be glitches – so please let us know via the feedback form and we’ll try and fix them.

Alternative media is a perilous endeavour and we are delighted to be not just surviving but expanding and renewing ourselves. We have some exciting new projects emerging which we’ll be revealing in the coming weeks. In the meantime if you want to support us go here to set up a small (or gigantic) monthly donation.

Thanks.

Sorry to see the outstanding “Bella” masthead go. You might want to rethink that. Otherwise great.

  6. Jo says:

    Welcome back.

  7. Ian Sanderson says:

    Where’s the masthead..!

  8. Wul says:

Seems a pity to loose the old masthead.

Sorry to be negative, time and more playing around will reveal if the the interface is more useable.

I do not like the way the various articles on the home page are misaligned, I’d prefer it if they fit a grid, either drawn or implied.

The typeface “looks” smarter but seems less readable. I don’t like the way the page jerks upwards as I scroll down and the menu bar descends, it feels a bit harsh on my old eyes.

Ach, what do I know, I hate change.

    1. Wul says:

Looks like the “grid” issue has been fixed. Good work.

      1. Yes, thanks, we are tweaking after taking feedback and user experience
