Read this a few months back and dipped into it again last night, co-incidentally. A superb book, full of sharp analysis and the chapter on Palestine (written before Oct. 7) is spot on. This quote I have found helpful: “The information is almost always distressing, and, to many, shocking, but in my view, the goal should never be to put the reader in a state of shock. it should be to pull them out of it.” (P227 in the hardback).
