This is going on in the UK, including in Scotland, but the British way is not so blatant. It’s all done quietly and behind the scenes. And if you question anything, especially accountability, there will be silence, or worse consequences. We are a kleptocracy too.
It’s just my lived experience.
Giant data centres are not all in rural areas. One is being built under the East Wing of the White House, which has been a bunker for a long time and there will soon be a ‘ballroom’.
It’s a philosophy that regards people and planet as mere resources to be exploited. Ethics are now just ‘virtue signalling’. Its coercive capitalism. It is techno-fascism.
But it is desperation, and it is completely unsustainable. And it is already starting to collapse.
