New Hosts Required
For the past nine years we have been hosted and supported by the fabulous Starbit Digital, a small Leith-based company [Starbit – Digital Agency Edinburgh ] who helped us with design, hosting and defending us from the relentless DoS attacks our site comes under.
Starbit have recently closed and are hosting us until we find a new company to work with.
So we need new hosts and digital back-up. Suggestions for good companies to work with very welcome.

Could you please explain ,dos attacks. I have been having some trouble getting on the website for months now. I have recently stopped liste ING to main stream media and trying to find unbiased news reporting .
A Denial of Service (DoS) attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt a server, service, or network’s normal traffic by overwhelming it with a flood of internet traffic. By consuming all available resources—such as bandwidth, memory, or CPU—these attacks make websites or network resources inaccessible to intended users.
In order to stop the website keeling over from these attacks we have to use a shield called Cloudflare.
We are about to invest in upgrading our systems to try and overcome this problem.
We do not know why or who is attacking us.
It has been worse recently. I use an old and new laptop and on the newer one (same browser), the cloudflare check now goes into an endless loop and never loads the page. This older one does work, at least when it works and does not re-direct to Wayback machine.
I hope you can get it sorted, it must be a real worry. It does make you wonder who is doing it and why but they seem to be increasing their efforts to disrupt the site. I suppose it is a kind of back-handed compliment that they are doing it at all.
Yeah I’m working hard to try and fix it but we are going to have to move to a new host and this will costs us.
